Community Guidelines

These Community Guidelines are part of, and incorporated into, the Zebra Herd Terms of Service. Breaking them can get your content removed and your account penalized, suspended, or banned.

Zebra Herd is built for hot takes, real rivalry, and arguing about sports like it matters — because to us, it does. Bring your worst takes and your best burns. But there's one golden rule that everything below comes back to:

Throw flags on takes, not on people. Roast the play, the call, the trade, the take. Don't attack the human. Debate hard, then shake hands.

• Play the ball, not the person.Public figures — players, coaches, officials, GMs, owners, and media — are fair game for criticism of their performance, decisions, and public work. What's not allowed: harassing, threatening, or targeting any individual (especially private individuals), or organizing pile-ons against them.
• No personal fouls. No targeted harassment or bullying, and no encouraging others to harass.
• No hate — that's an ejection. No content that attacks or demeans people based on protected characteristics such as race, ethnicity, national origin, religion, sex, gender identity, sexual orientation, disability, or serious medical condition. Zero tolerance.
• Protect minors — zero tolerance. Absolutely no content that sexualizes, endangers, or exploits minors, and no non-consensual intimate imagery. We remove it, ban the account, and report it to the authorities and relevant organizations as required by law.
• No threats or violence.Don't threaten anyone, incite violence, or glorify it. Trash talk is fine; threats are not.
• Don't doxx.Don't share anyone's private or identifying information without permission, and don't stalk, surveil, or invade anyone's privacy.
• Keep it legal — and keep bets honor-based. Don't post illegal content or use Zebra Herd to break the law. Gentleman's Bets are for honor, glory, and bragging rights only — never real money or anything of monetary value.
• Play fair — no manipulation.No spam, scams, or deception. Don't manipulate Takes, votes, Stripes, Herd Average, or other metrics; don't run bots; don't use multiple or fake accounts to rig the game or dodge penalties.
• Be (basically) honest.Don't impersonate people or organizations, and don't present malicious misinformation about real people as fact. Opinions and hot takes are welcome; lies dressed up as facts are not.
• Mind the graphic stuff. No gratuitously violent, gory, or sexually explicit content. Keep Zebra Herd a place fans can enjoy.
• Respect intellectual property.Only post content that's yours or that you have the right to share. Don't infringe others' copyrights or trademarks.

We review content with a mix of human moderators and automated systems. Depending on the foul and your history, the call may be:

• Flag (warning)— a heads-up that something crossed the line.
• Content removal— we take down the offending content.
• Stripes penalty— loss or reset of Stripes, tiers, or badges.
• Ejection (temporary suspension)— you're benched for a while.
• Lifetime ban (permanent)— removal from the Herd for good, especially for severe or repeated fouls.

Severe violations — like threats, hate, or anything involving minors — can skip straight to a ban. We may act with or without prior notice and may report illegal activity to law enforcement.

Use the report or flag tools in the app to tell us about content that breaks these rules, or contact us at support@zebraherd.com. Reports help keep the Herd fair. If you believe we got a call wrong, you may be able to appeal an enforcement action where we offer that option.

We're fans first. Argue like it's 4th-and-goal, defend your team to the end, and bring the heat to bad takes — just keep it on the takes, not the people. Welcome to the Herd.
